Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for purchasing stocking inventory products for all companies and divisions and maintaining proper inventory levels and product mix to support the sales effort of the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Purchase and transfer stocking products from various vendors and manufacturers for all companies and/or branches
- Maintain system ordering controls to insure proper inventory levels
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, freight terms, cash discounts, and where applicable to negotiate incentive rebates with vendors.
- Maintain current product costs in computer system
- Replenish/remix stock between companies and branches as necessary in order to maintain proper stock levels and product mix
- Visit branches periodically to discuss any inventory/purchasing issues.
- Communicate with branch managers and sales managers to maintain proper product mix at all locations
- Formulate solutions for eliminating overstock/obsolescence on various product lines
- Create and extend products, including using Precisely software application for mass extensions and SAP for requests originating from the sales teams.
- Resolve issues related to incorrect/incomplete product set up
- Resolve issues related to product costs
- Handle inbound department requests pertaining to PO lookup. Such as shipment notification lookup, invoice pricing query for serial records, invoice reprints, etc.
- Execute vendor price increase uploads and communicate price increase schedule to internal parties, with pricing provided by the buyer and/or vendor.
- Execute Dead stock / Damaged stock write-offs monthly using SAP “MIGO” transaction.
- In conjunction with Inventory Buyers/Inventory Mgmt., act as lead role for managing dead stock returns to vendor process.
- Handle all Inventory Adjustment Valuation (IAV) requests and log the results.
- Create / update repository of vendor contacts information and associated sales reps, including relevant information such as freight terms.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Business desirable
- 2 years or more of inventory management, purchasing experience, or progressive sales.
- 3-5 years of HVAC industry experience.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)
- Detail oriented with strong analytical problem solving ability
- Data analysis experience preferred
- SAP S/4HANA experience preferred
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Possess a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 10% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay
