Technical Sales Associate

PURPOSE: Responsible for technical sales support, equipment selection and Gross Margin for Company Products.   

 PRINICIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

• Obtain and review plans and specifications for projects to determine specific product and services to be included in a binding estimate
per the established guidelines. 

• Obtain special quotations from manufacturers as required for products while maintaining competitive pricing levels and to maximize gross margins.  

• Coordinate prior approval requests with the engineering services department. 

• Prepare complete and accurate engineering submittals for product being ordered. 

• Provide accurate and binding project estimates when dictated by a bid schedule or deadline. 

• Answer application and technical questions from mechanical engineers, contractors and building owners. 

• Prepare product orders for entry.  

• Manage logistics to ensure product arrives at job site when required. 

• Maintain proper margin levels and job accuracy to ensure that product is billed correctly. 

• Partner with Outside Sales Force and keep them informed concerning product availability, shipping schedules, and over-all job status. 

• Other duties as assigned.  

 QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor degree in preferred or equivalent work experience 

• Commercial HVAC project management experience preferred 

• Proficient computer skills in MS Office 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
