Accounting Intern

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the purpose of the Accounting Intern is to assist the Accounting Department with various at tasks and projects. This role will provide support to the accounting team, helping to maintain accurate financial records, analyze data, and prepare reports.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process journal entries and perform other month-end duties
• Upload journal entries for other members of the Accounting Department
• Perform account reconciliations
• Create and maintain spreadsheets
• Assist with Fixed Asset Maintenance
• Assist with sales, personal property and real property tax filings
• Assist with business license filings
• Provide administrative support to the Accounting Department.  Assist with tasks such as filing, scanning documents and responding to inquiries
• Maintain regular, punctual and reliable physical attendance
• Work cooperatively with others
• Comply with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Prior internship or relevant work experience is a plus but not required
