Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Staff Accountant is to report and record various financial information to Accounting Department customers – daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually according to their requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process journal entries and assist with the completion of the month end closing process
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts as assigned by Assistant Controller and/or Corporate Controller
- Prepare, file and pay Annual Business License renewals
- Prepare, file and pay Annual Delivery License renewals
- Review documents for new leases and lease amendments, and enter into Lease Query, our lease accounting software
- Prepare various schedules for bank and financial audits
- Perform daily banking functions
- Manage Escheatment (Unclaimed Property) Process
- Provide backup for other Staff Accountant functions
- Other duties as assigned
- Work cooperatively with others
- Comply with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3 years of experience in an accounting related field
- Advanced Microsoft Office with emphasis on Advanced Excel
- Ability to work as a team player and work in a deadline-based environment
Travel Requirement:
- 0% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry related conferences and training requiring some extended stay
